Bequests and Deferred Giving

  • Email friends@forbeslibrary.org to let us know about your intentions. Sample language is available on the Forbes Library’s giving page forbeslibrary.org/giving. Individuals including the library in their estate plans are honored as members of the Charles Forbes Legacy Society.

IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) 

  • If you are 70 1/2 or older, you can make a tax-free distribution from your IRA. Email friends@forbeslibrary.org with questions. Checks made out to Friends of Forbes Library can be mailed to P.O. Box 1363, Northampton, MA 01060.

In Person

  • Library staff at all service desks will be able to take your donation.
